Authorities in Florida said they were flooded with 911 calls after a Florida woman streamed live video of herself allegedly driving while drunk.
Police have charged Whitney Beall, 23, with driving under the influence, according to an Associated Press report.
Beall was apparently using the social media app Periscope as she was driving on Saturday, and she says several times during the video that she is drunk — also noting that she had a flat tire and was lost, according to the report.
The prompted a flood of people to urge her to stop driving, with some of them alerting the police. An officer was able to log onto the service and figure out where Beall’s car was, and police tracked her down.
Police said Beall failed the subsequent field sobriety test and refused to take a breathalyzer.
She was released on $500 bail.
