Samsung's latest phone looks a lot like another major smartphone on the market.
Samsung’s latest Galaxy S7 is starting to look like an iPhone.
The Galaxy and iPhone have started to resemble each other for a while now, but the S7 looks more like the iPhone than ever before, according to an Associated Press report.
There may have been some copying back and forth: Apple appeared to mimix the plus-sized version of the Galaxy with its own larger iPhones two years ago, while Samsung last year started to focus more on design and materials as Apple has. Then Apple tried to improve the iPhone camera so that it could compete with the Galaxy.
Now, the S7 is making another move toward the smartphone middle: it has lowered the resolution of the camera so that now it has the exact same resolution as the iPhone: 12 megapixels.
The phones still have their different focuses, with Samsung pushing for virtual reality and iPhones introducing a new feature that involves pressing harder on an icon.
The S7 comes in at 5.1 inches, which is a little bit larger than the iPhone 6s, which is 4.7 inches. The S7 Edge has a feature where the screen flows over the side and onto the back of the phone. It stretches to 5.5 inches, mostly coming from the curvature. The iPhone 6S Plus is 5.5 inches.
The S7 will be released March 11.
