Expect some big mobile phone announcement at this year's MWC in Spain this coming week.
The Mobile World Congress will be starting in the coming days, and it is sure to bring some of the most stunning innovations yet seen in the tech world.
The MWC is a conference and exhibition of the largest players in the mobile industry, and it will take place from Feb. 22-25 in Barcellona, Spain.
Get ready for some big announcements when it launches. One of the most anticipated unveilings is that of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, according to an Engadget report. While the S7 won’t look too different from the S7, they will be refined versions of those popular phones. The new Galaxys are expected to be water-resistant and have microSD card slots. Unfortunately, the camera might have changed for the worst, dropping from 16 to 12 megapixels.
LG has already leaked some of its news before the Mobile Wolrd Congress. Its G5 will have an always-on display and some touch-enabled flip cases. In addition, the phone will be powered by the new octa-core Snapdragon 820 chipset. There have been rumors that the G5 will have a slot for additional hardware, like a extended battery. Don’t expect to see LG Pay at the event, though.
Not to be outdone, Sony plans to be making a presentation at MWC, but unlike LG they aren’t saying much about the content of their comments before the show. It’s possible they showcase a new Android Wear smartwatch, but it’s difficult to say what their plans are, Engadget reported.
