NVIDIA has just unveiled a new tool that could totally change how you take photos in-game.
Want to take epic photos while you’re in a video game? NVIDIA has just announced a big new innovation just for you.
NVIDIA is unveiling a new game photography tool called Ansle that will be available to certain Geforce GPUs, and can be used in games like The Witcher 3 and The Witness, according to a company statement.
Ansel will feature a free camera and the ability to pause time. You’ll also be able to use post-process filters so you can share your photos online. There will even be an option for “super resolutions” and 360-degree photo capture, so you could even view your photos in virtual reality.
“NVIDIA is changing this with the introduction of Ansel, a powerful, easy-to-use game capture tool built in cooperation with leading game developers,” the company said in the statement. “Ansel lets you freeze time. You can compose your shots from any angle and adjust the image with post-process filters. You can capture at unbelievable resolutions, grab EXR images for full-spectrum color capture, and share your screenshots in 360° panoramas via your smartphone, PC or VR headset.”
NVIDIA promises to do this in several ways: with a free camera that allows you to go wherever you want to take the photo, super resolution that lets you zoom in on just about anything, post-process filters allowing you to tweak the photo professionally to make it more sharable, OpenEXR capture allowing you to export images in the highest quality, and 360-degree capture so you can view them on a VR headset.
