The upcoming show has the star feeling anxious, but alive
Britney Spears says she feels nervous about her upcoming performance at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) this Sunday.
The Toxic hitmaker is getting ready to appear at Madison Square Garden and show her fans a great performance nonetheless. A promo video was released showing Spears carrying a snake from her 2001 I’m a Slave 4 U hit, followed by footage from 2003 as she wore a wedding dress to perform.
However, footage from her 2007 appearance was notably missing after people criticized her weight and poor dancing routine.
When asked how she feels about the upcoming show, Spears stated: “I still get very nervous [about the awards]. You’re not alive [if you don’t]. I’m very alive.”
Meanwhile, the 34-year-old pop sensation had been busy hanging with James Corden during his popular Carpool Karaoke segment. She revealed in an interview with radio station 103.5 KTU that Corden was a sweet person and the two had a great time together.
“The guy was just so incredibly sweet . . . He controlled the whole thing, and sometimes I got onto him and said, ‘I don’t want to hear that song again.’ They didn’t show that part.”
In the segment, the Piece of Me artist also revealed she was effectively done with men and marriage.
She added: “I think I might not do the whole men thing anymore. I won’t do the men thing, or get married, I’m just done with men. I might french kiss someone but I’m not going to marry anyone – I don’t believe in marriage any more.”
The two went on to dance several of her hits during the segment, some dating back to the late 1990s.
