Britney Spears has surprisingly admitted she wants to duet with former sweetheart Justin Timberlake. The news comes 14 years after the two split.

Spears recently participated in a fan Q&A session for Most Requested Live. When asked whom she would like to work with, she revealed: “Aerosmith seems really good and bright. He’s a genius I think. He’s very rock n’ roll. He sings from his soul. Gwen Stefani, I think she’s great.”

The artist finally shocked fans by adding, “Justin Timberlake is very good.”

Many people would be happy seeing the two working together after all these years. Spears and Timberlake first met as kids in Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club, then began dating after gaining prominence in the music industry.

The romance didn’t last long, however, prompting Timberlake to pen Cry Me a River, in which he detailed how she had reportedly cheated.

Despite these past issues, the pop stars appear to have moved on and could be willing to work together. Timberlake talked about their status to Vanity Fair in 2011 and wished the singer well.

“I wish her the best — that goes without saying. We haven’t spoken in nine or 10 years … We were two birds of the same feather — small-town kids, doing the same thing,” he added.

Timberlake is now with Jessica Biel and the two have a one-year-old son. Spears, meanwhile, has 10-year-old Sean and nine-year-old Jayden with former husband Kevin Federline.

The Toxic singer doesn’t appear to be interested in dating long-term or marriage, however, as she admitted to be “done with men” and is more focused on her music career instead.
