Hearst: “I could never have envisioned a more perfect wedding day’
Chris Hardwick and Lydia Hearst just married in a Walking Dead-themed wedding in California. The event, held this past Saturday, was enjoyed by 450 close friends and acquaintances.
The 44-year-old TV presenter had proposed to the actress, 31, in September 2015.
Hearst had previously revealed her excitement about getting married to People magazine: “I could never have envisioned a more perfect wedding day. It’s better and more magical than I could have ever dreamed of … It’s going to be perfect, and even if it isn’t that’s how it was meant to be. I’m more excited than anything else!
Everything else is just a bonus, but Chris is the most important person and vital component to me … This is a celebration of our love and an incredible moment to share with our family and friends.”
The bride wore a Christian Siriano gown while the groom was sporting a Prada suit. Furthermore, they asked guests not to buy them presents and instead donate money to a list of hand-picked charities.
Hardwick added via Instagram: “Thank you for all your well-wishes and wonderful words lately! Some of you have even gone so far as to ask where we’re registered (which is very sweet) so I’m sharing this…@lydiahearst and
I are incredibly fortunate people and didn’t feel right taking gifts from anyone so our wedding registry instead is a menu of five wonderful charities that we asked our guests to pick any or all of to make a donation toward: St Jude Children’s Research Hospital (@stjude), Operation Smile (@operationsmile), GLAAD (@glaad), Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (@egpaf) & Best Friends Animal Society (@bestfriendsanimalsociety).”
He also asked fans to contribute to said charities if they are willing and able.
“If you’re feeling generous and able, this support of others is the best way to support us on our magical day! No matter what, we appreciate you!!!”
