The artist has become a great-grandfather at age 76
Ringo Starr’s granddaughter, Tatia Starkey, gave birth to Stone Zakomo Low this past Sunday. This is her first child with partner Adam Low.
As the daughter of Starr’s son Zak Starkey, this officially makes the Beatles drummer a great-father at 76 years old.
Both Zak and Tatia share the same musical talents as the iconic musician. She is the singer and bassist of musical band Belakiss, while Zak is a drummer for Oasis, The Who, and his dad’s All-Starr Band.
He has a total of seven grandchildren from three children consisting of Zak, Jason, and Lee, all in their 40s. This could mean that even more great-grandchildren are possible for the musician. All kids are from his first wife, Maureen Cox, whom he divorced in 1975.
Starr then married Barbara Bach in 1981 and they are still together to this day. The two have, however, split their time between Los Angeles and the UK. Other celebrities living a similar lifestyle include Isla Fisher and Borat’s Sacha Baron Cohen.
Much like former Beatle Paul McCartney, Starr has shown no signs of slowing down and plans to tour and perform for a while longer. In fact, the 76-year-old musician recently announced a tour with his All-Starr Band which starts on October 15th.
Other than his love of music, Starr is also an avid Twitter user who had recently surpassed one million followers.
He acknowledged the milestone and thanked his fans, saying: “Peace and love to my 1 million followers wow (sic)”
