The star says that being in her 30s is great
Britney Spears says she is fully enjoying her 30s and admits she’s had much more clarity than the previous decade.
While she undoubtedly loved being a teen once, the 34-year-old singer said that her 20s were “horrible.” She’s now grateful for her age as it has greatly boosted her confidence and is now more accepting.
She shared on the UK television show Lorraine: “I like my 30s way more than my 20s, my 20s were horrible. [Being] In my teens was fun but I like 30s, the 30s are great. You know who you really are.”
Her admission of finding peace in her 30s comes after the infamous meltdown she endured at age 24, which prompted the star to shave her head and attack paparazzi at one point. She then checked into rehab shortly after, making a speedy recovery before returning to the spotlight.
Although the Make Me hitmaker – who has two children with ex-husband Kevin Federline – has found happiness in life, she’s still looking for someone to settle down with but hasn’t experienced much success.
The star – whose Las Vegas residency Piece of Me proved hugely successful – has been a single mother since splitting from producer Charlie Ebersol back in 2015. However, she isn’t too concerned about the single life and is patiently waiting for love to find her when the time is right.
“I’m in a really good place right now so I think, I’m just, I’m loving [myself] and learning about myself every day and learning [about] who I am so it’s just, it’s awakening, it’s cool. It’s OK to be single, yeah, it totally is.”
