The blonde beauty discloses her artsy side
Gigi Hadid enjoys various art pursuits during her down time, which includes the use of Lego pieces to express her creative side. Although many people consider it merely a toy, the model firmly sees this as a form of art.
She told America’s Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “I do a lot of art at home, like painting, drawing, sometimes working with clay. I build a lot of Lego sets. That’s art, I guess!”
Hadid also likes to spend time at pottery studio Color Me Mine painting gifts for friends. The meticulous craft sessions, according to her, are very relaxing.
“I had my birthday parties at a Color Me Mine in L.A. when I was a kid, so now on my days off in New York I’ll get coffee with some friends and go to Color Me Mine and sit there for, like, five hours and paint really detailed mugs or whatever.
They’re good birthday presents or presents for yourself, and it’s really relaxing.”
But not everything is fun and games, as the 21-year-old model was let down after her favorite ice cream store closed its doors recently. The place used to be her go-to store right before a workout session, but now Hadid settles with supplies posted to her apartment.
She added: “There used to be an Emack & Bolio’s on Houston Street, which is my favorite ice-cream place — I love the Grasshopper Pie — and I would walk past it on my way to the gym every day, but one day it was closed and I almost cried. Now I’ll just Postmate pints of it to my apartment.”
When she’s not relaxing, the blonde beauty is pursuing a gig in a television crime show.
She revealed about her passion: “Before I go to bed I like to watch ‘Girls’. I also loved ‘Prison Break‘. I studied criminal psychology in school, so one day I hope I can use my studies to be on ‘Law & Order: SVU’.”
