Justin Bieber has reportedly split from Sofia Richie after only one month of dating.

The artist and the 18-year-old model – who is the daughter of the iconic Lionel Richie – have broken up before things continued getting more serious, according to TMZ. The news comes merely days after Richie expressed how “special” their relationship was.

She shared: “We have a special relationship. Justin is very easy to talk to, and that’s hard to find with people in Los Angeles.”

Richie was previously in the middle of a public argument between her now-ex-boyfriend and Selena Gomez after he threatened to close his Instagram account due to trolls badmouthing her.

Bieber said at the time: “I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”

This prompted Gomez to reply: “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you.”

The argument led to the Baby hitmaker accusing her of using him in the past, adding: “It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love. I’m not one for anyone receiving hate. Hope u all can be kind to my friends and each other. And yes I love my beliebers.”

The heated moment eventually cooled down and Selena later apologized, admitting that her words were “selfish and pointless.”
