The star routinely sheds tears during relatively mundane situations
Kit Harington admitted he gets emotional during seemingly ordinary situations. He finds himself tearing up on planes and even while watching movies without an emotional plot.
He shared with W magazine: “I always cry at the weirdest things. I’ll cry at completely non-weepy films on planes, though. I get strangely emotional on planes.”
Although he has no issues flying frequently, the actor refuses to get on the bus as he’s not used to seeing his face advertised on the side of it. He had no problems using public transport in the past, but having his own image surrounding him now makes him self-conscious.
“I used to love to catch the bus, and I couldn’t catch them for months during that, because of the fear that I might be sitting above my own head on the side of the bus. Occupational hazard, isn’t it?”
These buses have also been disruptive for the 29-year-old star, as they often drove past the cameras while filming scenes for Spooks: The Greater Good. This occasionally forced the director to either shoot certain scenes again or switch angles.
He said: “It’s funny to look back at it now, but at the time, they were a real pain in the ass! I was half naked on a bus the whole time we were shooting because of the ‘Pompeii‘ poster. Every two seconds, we would have to call, ‘Cut!’ because there was some bus with the ‘Pompeii‘ poster going across in the background. The first time, it was funny, but then after that, it just became really tedious.”
Harrington has stayed busy with various projects in between Game of Thrones, including Brimstone and The Death and Life of John F. Donovan.
