The artist opens up about personal preferences and emotional challenges
While Lady Gaga could go for virtually any type of man, she has revealed to be passionate about men who are proficient chess players.
The Poker Face singer – who split from Taylor Kinney earlier this year – told The Sun newspaper: “I like to play chess, I think that it’s fun.”
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old recently shed some light on the origins of her new album’s title, Joanne, as it was named after her father’s sister who died at the tender age of 19.
She shared: “It’s going to be done in the next 48 hours. [My father] was younger than her and she was very sick with lupus. The death of her in his family and in his life, it really left a scar and a wound that never healed.”
Gaga attributes her family’s strength partly to her passing, as their loss ultimately made them who they are today.
She continued: “The experiences of our families, and our challenges and our toughness make us who we are. It’s all the toughness of the pain that happened as a result of losing her that made us all strong, and made us all who we are.”
The star has been more open and personal about her feelings in recent times. She had recently admitted to feel betrayed by many whom she considered friends and close colleagues, leading to her newest album being filled with “rage.”
“I’ve been betrayed by all types of people in my life and thought an illusion was put out to bait me in some kind of way. There’s a lot of rage on the album. There’s going to be a lot of personal things on that record that are written through the lyrics and the music.”
