Zayn Malik considers Gigi Hadid an inspiration due to her goal-oriented mentality and drive. She model had recently debuted her new fashion collection in partnership with Tommy Hillfiger at New York Fashion Week, and Malik couldn’t be happier.

The singer hailed his girlfriend through Instagram on Friday, saying: “.@GiGiHadid Good luck tonight baby. You’re about to show the world your amazing GxTH collection. I am so proud. You are an inspiration. X.”

The 23-year-old artist also linked to the website steaming the show with the caption: “Watching my girl live here. Everyone support.” However, it is unclear why he did not accompany her to the show.

While Hadid has been interacting to the fullest as of late, Malik has been more secluded due to extreme anxiety. In fact, he was forced to cancel a concert in Dubai scheduled for next month as a result.

The artist had previously released the following statement: “Dear Fans, I have been working over the last three months to overcome my extreme anxiety around major live solo performances I feel I am making progress but I have today acknowledged that I do not feel sufficiently confident to move forward with the planned show in Dubai in October.”

This followed by a sincere apology, adding: “I am assured that all tickets will be refunded. I am truly sorry to disappoint you. I hope to see you all soon. Thank you to all my fans who support me globally. With love and respect always, Zayn.”

A source had revealed Malik relies on Hadid for emotional support due to her positive attitude.

The insider stated: “Gigi has a very calming effect on Zayn and will spend hours on the phone with him when he is having a bad day. She will remind him to take deep breaths and to do those things that relax him like drawing or painting.”
