The actress hopes to be a great role model for her children
Jennifer Garner – who has three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck – is proudly involved in philanthropy work and hopes to set an example for her kids in the process. The star feels it’s important to always be a role model, especially as they grow older.
She shared with Entertainment Tonight: “That’s really important at home, to make sure that our kids know that we both have causes that we care so much about … that we dedicate time, resources, and our energy toward making our own little slice of the world a little bit better …
It’s so important that you model for your kids how to be a citizen of the world, and I think that’s the very best thing you can do.”
Meanwhile, the two are still trying to work things out despite splitting up over a year ago.
An insider said: “They’re still figuring things out. Ben still doesn’t want the divorce and he might actually get his way. She had the best time in Europe with Ben and the kids. She seemed much happier when she returned to L.A. Jen went from being very adamant that a divorce would happen to instead avoiding any divorce talk.
There is no rush to file [for divorce]. They are enjoying life where they are right now … Nothing has changed [in their relationship]. They’re still all about putting the kids first.”
And it’s been said that the 44-year-old star is open to reuniting with the Batman v Superman actor.
A source claimed: “Jennifer followed Ben to England and the trip has given her a whole new outlook on their future.
She still feels conflicted, and she’s only telling close friends that she’s started to open up to the idea that they could get back together. She thinks they have a long road ahead of them, but Ben is already proving to her that he’s committed to changing.”
