For one reason or another, Keegan Allen decided to tweet his own phone number on Friday to thank fans for their loyalty.

As you might expect, the plan quickly backfired when his line crashed following 23,000 calls within five minutes.

The initial tweet read: “Call me : – let me thank you for being so amazing (hopefully this number works) if not- I’ll figure out another one”

Once the calls started raining – from the account that holds an estimated 2 million followers – the star was forced to find another way to interact with the crowd.

He later replied with: “Lol. 23k calls in 5 minutes crashed the number. I’ll figure out another way.” It is unclear whether Keegan pulled the stunt as a joke considering the vast amount of fans spread across multiple social media channels.

Shortly after the fact, the King Cobra star simply shared a photo on Instagram and invited his followers to catch him at the Southern Women’s Show in Alabama this weekend.

The caption read: “That number crashed after 23k people called in 5 minutes Come meet me – this Saturday OCT 1 in Birmingham Alabama @southernwomensshow Let’s take another front of the line picture. Meeting everyone and signing#lifelovebeauty . Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex 2100 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. North Birmingham, AL 35203 Saturday, October 1, Noon – 2:30pm”

This comes shortly after he tweeted photos of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles while visiting the set of Pretty Little Liars.

One of the images showed them together along with the caption: “Sitting with the #GOAT (greatest of all time) @simonebiles (sic)”
