Mel B hints at a potential reunion with all five bandmates
Despite ongoing tensions among The Spice Girls, Mel B is still hopeful that Victoria Beckham and Mel C will join the upcoming group’s reunion next year.
Scary Spice is set to revive the band along with Emma Bunton and Geri Horner, who is currently expecting her first child with husband Christian Horner. The reunion will take place as a major concert and potentially new music in celebration of their 20th anniversary.
Victoria and Mel C, however, have no interest in performing as they focus on their fashion label and a solo career, respectively. But this hasn’t stopped Mel B from hoping that the two will ultimately reunite and complete the band.
When asked about the group’s status on the Australian TV show Sunrise, Mel B joked: “I killed the other two!”
She then stated: “Who said they’re not going to possibly be involved? Until it actually gets going, everything’s a bit up in the air.”
The star also encouraged people to just wait until everything is finalized, suggesting to be tired of everyone asking the same questions.
“Until we’ve got something to announce, it’s the same old, same old. We are looking to do something, it’s just a case of when.”
The singer was also asked whether there is tension between her and artist Iggy Azalea, but she denied it and asked the hosts to stop causing trouble.
She explained: “She’s got a massive career, she’s highly successful, and we get on. I know you’re trying to get some rivalry between me and Iggy, but there isn’t any. Maybe there will be soon.”
