The model can’t wait to tie the knot with the ‘Snapchat’ founder
Miranda Kerr says she’s anxious about marrying fiancé Evan Spiegel in 2017.
The Australian model – who has a five-year-old son with ex-husband Orlando Bloom – engaged the prominent Snapchat founder in June and the two are already planning their wedding.
Asked about a wedding date, Miranda told Paris Match magazine: “It’ll be next year. I can’t wait.”
And the 33-year-old model wasn’t expecting Evan to propose, which left her overwhelmed with happiness when he suddenly popped the question.
She added: “[Was I expecting it?] Absolutely not. He said to me, ‘Miranda, I’m telling you now, this is the first and last time I’m going to kneel down in front of you,’ I was terribly nervous and emotional, trembling with happiness.”
Although Miranda took her time to introduce him to her young son, the two quickly developed a special and undeniable bond.
“They adore each other. At first I was very careful as I wanted to be certain our relationship was serious. Now I love to watch them playing together.”
Miranda also revealed the two are quite laid back and relatively easy-going, opting for life’s simple pleasures whenever possible.
She continued: “Evan is real homebody like me. We have little dinner parties for our friends – he loves my cooking.
Both of us are quite conservative even though we come from different worlds. But we have common values, a sense of loyalty, family and honesty. I tend to trust other people more easily. Evan is more guarded and reserved. It’s a good balance.”
The star says she can always rely on her fiancé for advice, adding: “We spend hours talking about everything. He listens to me and he understands me.
He works very hard and he’s proud that I’ve started my own business. He gives me tons of advice. He’s my soulmate.”
