However, her guess is as good as anyone’s
Naomie Harris, who portrays Eve Moneypenny in the popular James Bond franchise, is hoping Daniel Craig returns as the legendary agent.
The 40-year-old actress has heard all the rumors regarding Daniel’s future reprising the role, but that hasn’t stopped her from keeping her hopes up and working with the actor once more.
When asked whether Daniel will be making a return, she told Newsweek: “I don’t know … I would love him back, of course, but I have no inside information, I’m afraid.”
Even if the star decides to call it a day as the iconic 007, Naomie still plans to stay for as long as producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli keep her around.
She said: “The Bond family are like my second family. I love being part of that franchise. Absolutely, I’d go back.”
Since 2015’s Spectre, rumors and speculation about the actor’s future have been circulating all over the media. However, nobody can say with absolute certainly whether he will be replaced by one of multiple candidates which include Tom Hiddleston, Aidan Turner, and Idris Elba.
Craig, who first wore the tuxedo in 2006’s Casino Royale, finally spoke up earlier this month at the New Yorker Festival. While he hinted at returning in the next film, his answer was not exactly concrete.
He stated: “I’ve got the best job in the world doing Bond. The things I get to do on a Bond movie and the type of work it is, there’s no other job like it.
If I were to stop doing it – just say – I’d miss it terribly. It’s one of the most thrilling things as an actor you can do. I love this job. I get a massive kick out of it. And, if I can keep getting a kick out of it, I will.”
