Nick Cannon isn’t quite ready to move on and start dating, as he still feels “broken” following his split from Mariah Carey.

The former couple – who share five-year-old twins – called it quits in 2014 but the rapper is still healing emotionally and taking things one day at a time.

He told Extra about dating and relationships: “I’m broken, I’m not ready.”

The 36-year-old TV personality was rumored to be seeing TLC’s Rozonda Thomas after the two were spotted on several occasions and being affectionate in his music video, If I Was Your Man. Despite the sightings, however, he insists they are not official at the moment and have no immediate plans to change that.

He complimented the 45-year-old star by saying: “She’s an amazing woman.” This followed by host Tracey Edmonds, adding: “Y’all would be cute together.”

And while Nick is struggling to move on, Mariah was quick to find love again – even before their diverse was finalized – after meeting billionaire James Packer.

In fact, the two had previously announced their engagement and are planning to marry in a private ceremony among close friends and family.

But Nick has a different view on tying the knot again as he says the pop star will always be special to him.

He said: “That messes everything up [getting married again]. That takes the fairy tale out of it. Cinderella didn’t get married, she just lived happily ever after […] It’s one of those things, I’m a hopeless romantic too. Through this learning process, you never say never.

To me one thing I know, that will always be the love of my life, always be my family and that’s never going to change. It’s extremely disappointing when you see that people just want to perpetuate negativity when there is no negativity even involved.”
