Ryan Lochte says he is ready to start a bright future with his fiancée, Kayla Rae Reid. The Olympic athlete had recently proposed to the Playboy model and says he wants to start a family as soon as possible.

He told E! News: “Before I even got engaged, I wanted a family of my own. I wanted to find the right one first and then have kids with her. Now that I’ve found the right one, that’s something we definitely talk about…we want kids and I mean, I’m ready to be a dad.”

And the 32-year-old revealed he wants to have a say in planning the wedding and not let his 25-year-old bride do all the work.

“That’s one of the things that I wanted to do because this is not just her wedding, even though everyone always says it’s the woman’s wedding, but it’s mine too and we’re a couple now.

I wanted to be involved as much as possible. I want to help her pick out the flowers, help pick out the cake…like everything. I want to be right there with her.”

Meanwhile, the star had previously admitted he wants a reality TV show based on their personal and professional lives.

He stated: “We’ve thought about it. We’ve already thought about it.”

I think that would be a lot of fun. Especially with us, if you see us when we’re home, we’re just a bunch of goofballs. It’s a lot of entertainment, so we would definitely do it.”

The athlete, who has been a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, says that everyone from the show is welcome to said wedding.

“The whole entire show [will be invited]. I mean honestly, it’s been like a family. I definitely want for the wedding itself, my closest friends and family.”
