Amy acknowledged Ben as the two reached a milestone together
Amy Schumer and boyfriend Ben Hanisch recently exchanged some loving messages to one another as they celebrated their one-year anniversary.
The Trainwreck actress, who jokingly referred to Ben as a f***face, posted on Instagram: “A year ago today I met the love of my life. Happy anniversary f***face. #Iwantoseeotherpeople.”
Ben returned the compliment by adding: “A year ago I met the love of my life. We both weren’t looking for a relationship at the time, but something felt right from the very first night we met.
We ended up spending six days in a row together. This pic was taken in New Orleans and was the night I knew I wanted to spend my life with her.”
And while she is undoubtedly happy, Amy had previously admitted that loving someone so deeply is the “scariest thing in the world.”
She explained: “Being in love is the scariest thing in the world. You want to f***ing cry and scream. I can’t handle it. Every time we say goodbye, I think, ‘This will have been a nice last week together.’ Or I tell myself nothing is real and he’s going to leave me and tell me he never loved me.
I feel so bad for him. How exhausting it must be dating me … I feel like Ben is the first guy who’s really been my boyfriend. There are guys who, if they heard me say that, would want to punch me in the face, but yeah, it’s the truth.”
The star also insisted that Ben is unlike any other men she has ever dated, describing them as “narcissistic” in nature.
“I usually would go for narcissists who, you know, could never be happy. [Ben’s] just very supportive and loving and I think we’re very proud of each other. He is so far removed from this business that it’s really nice.”
