Isla: “At the end of the day, I just fall asleep”
Isla Fisher says she doesn’t have the time for a social life as she is always busy with work and family. The actress – who shares three children with actor Sacha Baron Cohen – says her day starts quite early and there’s very little time for recreational activities.
She shared with Square Mile magazine: “There isn’t much time for socialising. To be honest, I get up every morning between 5.30am and 6am, I take a multivitamin and tell myself, ‘Don’t worry Isla, you’re still cool, you’ll go out one day…’ but instead, at the end of the day, I just fall asleep!”
But the actress acknowledges how important intimacy is in a relationship, so the two try to have a date night once a week.
She explained about the secret to their successful marriage: “Communication is important and having a date night. It is really easy to have a kid-oriented marriage, so just one night a week we try to go out.”
Although the actress was born in Australia, the couple spends their time between California and the UK. Isla also admits she’s rather understanding of her living conditions and refuses to be so tough about neatness.
The 40-year-old beauty shared about her decision to buy Ikea furniture for her home: “They’ve got great stuff. You want a home; I never want to be that person who says, ‘Don’t put your feet up on the sofa, don’t put your coffee mug there. You know, it’s very Australian. You come into a home and you just dishevel. In LA some people treat their houses like a show-home, but I’m a bit more ‘live and let live.'”
