Kanye West was recently admitted to UCLA Medical Center in California after suffering from sleep deprivation. And although Kim stated he’s mostly back to normal, TMZ reports that the 39-year-old rapper has been depressed and paranoid for a long time now.

In fact, sources have said that West is “convinced people are out to get him,” including his own medical staff. The artist has thus refused to let anyone care for him.

It was previously reported that Kanye is typically down during the holiday season, as his mother died in November 2007 and the two were very close. These regrettable memories, combined with Kim’s traumatic robbery recently, have reportedly caused his health to worsen.

An insider stated: “Any time around the holidays is tough for him, he is an only child. But he was very close to his mom, so this time of year… it’s really difficult.

Then on top of it, everything that happened with Kim in Paris, the build up to it is a lot, it’s a lot of pressure. Kanye is highly sensitive and highly protective of certain things which doesn’t help.

But people are so used to seeing him as a performer or as an icon, they don’t see him as a normal person. And really he is just like we all are, broken and lost and hurt, we all are made of different fragments as human beings.

With too much pressure it bursts and right now with everything hurting for him Kanye has burst.”

TMZ reports that Kanye – who is a father of two – is expected to be released from the hospital toward the end of November and remain in the care of a personal doctor.
