The actor insists his good friend is bitter and jealous
Hollywood heavyweight Ben Affleck joked that Matt Damon is jealous for not landing the role of Batman.
The 44-year-old star has taken on directing, producing, and acting on prominent movies for the last couple of years. After successfully portraying the caped crusader, he insists that his long-time pal is rather bitter for not having the role.
He shared with ABC News: “He’s very bitter. All he gets to do is ‘Jason Bourne‘. Just keeps doing it again and again. We get it.”
And Ben encourages Matt to be happier with his roles, as he has enjoyed his own success over the years.
“He’s had his share. I got we ‘Bought a Zoo‘ on a loop in the house.”
The actor also talked about his friendship with the Jason Bourne star, who has been present in his life from a young age. He admitted it’s been an incredible experience to get to where they are and still remain close.
He said: “Being friends and having a guy to go through all that stuff with. To have a relationship and have a sense of humour about it, it’s crucial.”
The comments come shortly after the actor – who has three children with Jennifer Garner – revealed the two will be spending Christmas together.
“I can tell you that we’re going to do skiing in Montana with our family and Matt Damon’s family and my brother’s family. It should be a lot of fun.”
The star had previously joked about how he keeps their friendship feeling fresh and exciting at all times, adding: “You know Matt [Damon] and I, we just we have good sex. That’s what keeps it fresh.”
