Jaime feels she made the right move in choosing the singer
Actress Jaime King chose music megastar Taylor Swift to be her 17-month-old son’s godmother and says she is simply amazing in the role.
Asked how the singer has handled the tot and his three-year-old sibling, James, she told Us Weekly magazine: “She’s amazing. She’s great! As she is with everybody around her.”
Jessica Alba happens to be James’ godmother, and the Heart of Dixie star can’t wait to hang out with her friend – who has two daughters with Cash Warren – over the holiday season. The actress has been busy in her hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, but is set to return to California later this month.
She added: “We are going to go home to see my grandmother. She hasn’t met Leo Thames yet. Then we are coming home and probably hanging with Jessica. We just like to all get together and hang out with the kids!”
Jaime also works closely with Baby2Baby, an organization which assists less fortunate children, and she says that being a mom has only strengthened her relationship with the charity.
“I’m a lot more sensitive now as a mom. When I first started working with them I was not a mother, although I was trying, but there is definitely a difference. You start thinking, Oh, my God, what if I didn’t even have a diaper to change my child?”
The actress had recently explained her reasons for choosing Taylor and Jessica as godparents, considering they share the same values that she and husband Kyle possess.
She stated: “It really has nothing to do with the fact they’re Taylor Swift or Jessica Alba. It’s a collective way of raising your children that has to do with the fact that you’re choosing people who will help spiritually guide them and be there.”
