Jennifer Lopez took a moment to look back on 2016. Despite being filled with many tragedies, she can’t help but feel nothing but love for everyone and everything.

The star – who has two children with ex-husband Marc Anthony – traditionally sits in front of her Christmas tree and reflects on the things that make each year memorable. This time she felt a deep sense of love and affection from family and friends, explaining that her “heart is full” despite many ups and downs.

She shared via Instagram: “Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night… I have a ritual every year once everyone is asleep I like to go sit by the tree and think about the year that just went by.

This year had its ups and downs but as I sit here in my living room w my coconuts sleeping soundly upstairs, all of us healthy, a house full of family and friends, I feel surrounded by love and overflowing with gratitude for the many new blessings in my life!!! Merry Christmas everyone.”

And the 47-year-old singer was due to perform in Miami on December 31, but ultimately cancelled the show to spend time with family.

Speaking of cancellations, Jennifer had also called time on her relationship with Casper Smart earlier this year, but claimed it was an amicable break-up.

However, sources suggest that Casper had been cheating, which effectively led to the split.

It was said at the time: “She kicked him out because he cheated on her and he got caught. It happened two years ago, and he promised he would never do it again and once he did, she was done.

The truth is, he was cheating and now that it’s over he’s been begging to come back.”
