'DC Comics' has big plans for their upcoming superhero films
Warner Bros has revealed that fan favorite Jesse Eisenberg and Connie Nielsen are set to return in Justice League.
DC Comics plans to keep growing their cinematic presence in an industry that is predominantly “owned” by Marvel. As a result, the studio is proud to bring back the star along with Nielsen, who is set to play Hippolyta in the upcoming Wonder Woman film.
Warner Bros made the announcement while revealing their upcoming movies, according to Collider.
And Jesse hinted earlier this year that fans haven’t seen the last of Luthor, teasing he would return in Justice League and possibly future films.
He said at the MCM London Comic Con: “I’m kind of in wait [mode]. I don’t know what I’m allowed to say, because I feel like there’s probably some drone following me from DC, and if I say anything wrong I get, you know, picked off.
But yeah I think so, and I love it, and I love everybody who’s in it. You know, it’s a really talented group of people.”
Moreover, Warner Bros didn’t shy away from providing a brief synopsis about the film, sharing: “Fuelled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.
Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes – Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash – it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
