The singer only gets to see them several times a year
Pop sensation Jesy Nelson revealed that her busy schedule often keeps her from spending quality time with family. Thankfully, the festive season will allow her to be more relaxed and dedicate her attention to loved ones.
The singer – who is accompanied by Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock in the girl group Little Mix – told OK! magazine: “Mine and Perrie’s families live up north, so we never get to see them really.
Christmas is like the one time we get to be with our families and see out little nephews and nieces, it’s really lovely.”
Jesy finds it especially tough being away throughout the entire year, which prompts her to use this time very wisely whenever she’s around. The star is set to go on a worldwide tour over the next 12 months, making this holiday season even more crucial. However, she feels that her career is just as important nevertheless.
“It is hard not seeing your family, especially next year we’re touring all year so we’re going to be all over the world, but it’s worth it, isn’t it?”
And the 25-year-old star – who recently broke up with fiancé Jake Roche – also looks forward to letting go and eating her favorite treats this year.
She explained: “You’ve got to be a fatty at Christmas.”
Leigh-Anne, however, will avoid gaining weight during this time of year, noting how easy it is to over-indulge.
“I do live near a river and it’s really scenic so I’m going to go for some jogs and some bike rides and take the dogs out, so I’m going to try and do that.”
