
The star claims she’s losing while enjoying her favorite meals
Oprah Winfrey revealed she has lost 40 pounds thanks to a strict and effective Weight Watchers meal plan. Perhaps more importantly, she says the weight came off without feeling “deprived” of her favorite foods.
The American TV host told People magazine how she is no longer struggling, adding: “Since I’ve started Weight Watchers, I’ve lost over 40 lbs. I can honestly tell you, I struggle no more.”
And despite her diet’s success, Oprah has never felt the need to turn down her go-to meals. This has subsequently helped her stay on track while still enjoying everything she likes.
“I’m eating everything I love – tacos, pasta. I’ve never felt deprived,” she added.
Oprah joined Weight Watchers in August 2015 and managed to lose a total of 26 pounds by January 2016 through healthy eating.
By May of this year, the business icon decided to increase her efforts by recording 10,000 steps per day with a goal of losing even more weight.
She said: “I try to do something every day that allows me to feel active, and I don’t make myself crazy about it.
I just know that movement and flexibility, particularly the older you get, is what makes you feel alive. So I don’t want to just be alive, I want to feel it.”
Oprah had previously explained how this has gradually improved her relationship with partner Stedman Graham.
The star, who also happens to be a Weight Watchers shareholder, shared: “I would like him to pick me up and carry me to the pool.
I’ve lost enough weight, he can pick me up and carry me to the pool. I can straddle him without breaking his back.”
