The star also discusses working with Harrison Ford
Ryan Gosling says he loves life at home with his partner Eva Mendes and their two young daughters. In fact, the actor feels that he’s living a dream and says being a dad inspires him to be better everyday.
He told GQ magazine: “Eva’s the dream mother, and they’re dream babies, and it’s like a dream that I’m having right now. I’m dreaming it all.
When you meet your kids you realise that they deserve great parents. And then you have your marching orders and you have to try and become the person that they deserve.”
The actor has been busy on the set of Blade Runner 2049 along with Harrison Ford. He is delighted that the iconic star supports the theory that people should never meet their heroes to avoid disappointment.
He explained: “You know, they say don’t meet you heroes, but I would say the addendum to that is ‘…unless they’re Harrison Ford’. Because he’s a cool motherf***er.”
The 36-year-old star also confirmed that Harrison once punched him while filming, but insists it just happened and he was amused by the incident.
Ryan added: “It was kind of, you know, a rite of passage. We were just doing a fight scene and, you know, it just happened.
But what was funny was, when it was over, they brought ice for my face, and Harrison pushed me out of the way and stuck his fist in the ice.
I asked him the other day where he got his sense of humour from — was it from his mother or his father? He said, ‘Sears.’ And he didn’t have much time to shop around so he just had to grab one and get out.”
