TCL is unveiling a new line of 6-Series TVs that offer an incredible display and for a surprisingly low price.
TCL has unveiled a 4K HDR TV at CES for a rather eye-popping price tag of $649, according to reports. TCL, whish shipped 23 million TVs worldwide last year, has unvilved the new premium 6-Series TVs that have slim, metal designs.
The TV that costs $649 is an impressive 55 inches, and for $999 you can get another 10 inches on top of that. The company is currently open to pre-orders, and the TVs reportedly will hit store shelves on the first of May. In addition to the slimmer design and impressive size, the 6-series will also include improvements in contrast and more local dimming zones.
TCL certainly appears to be taking a run at the big dogs of the television world, Samsung and LG, and they’re definitely trying to undercut them on price. The TCL 6-Series TVs will use the latest version of Roku OS, which will offer 5,000 streaming channels and more than 500,000 movies and TV episodes.
